Hello crafty friends! Today is the final reveal of Newton's Nook Designs March release! Today we're showcasing "Newton's Birthday Flutter." This is such a cute and versatile set and some of the sentiments are just too funny! I decided to make a cute, gender-neutral birthday card featuring the little birdie (the one that wasn't eaten by Newton lol!).
To begin the card, I paper pieced the balloon and little bird. I used my YR16 Copic Marker to color the bird's beak and used my white gel pen to color the highlight of the balloon. I cut a slit in the bird's beak and threaded a piece of string through and attached the other end to the balloon. I then die cut three clouds and stamped the sentiment onto the largest cloud. I used the dotted banner strip die and panel from the Avery Elle "Dotted Die" set for the background layers. And to finish up the card, I added some "Orangesicle" Trendy Twine.
I love how quickly this cute birthday card came together. Thanks again for stopping by and don't forget to hop along to all of the other blogs for a chance to win this set! ♥
This set will be given away to ONE lucky winner!
