TAWS July Blog Hop

Hi there! Today the TAWS blog is having a blog hop celebrating the new July release. Today I'm showcasing the super fun new min-set called "Neener Neener" set.

I used the Pretty Pink Posh "Stitched Film Strip" die to frame the smaller faces and colored them with Copic Markers. I die cut the "celebrate" sentiment included in the Paper Smooches "Birthday Words" die set three times from white cardstock. I then glued the sentiment onto a piece of grey cardstock and fussy-cut around the sentiment to add a border. For today's card, I made a larger cardbase than the usual A2-size measuring 4 3/4" x 6". To finish the card, I added some matching Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

TAWS July Release - Sneak Peak Day 3

Hi crafty friends! Today is Day 3 of the TAWS July release. Today we're showcasing the new Old School set. I absolutely love this set, it brings back so many fun childhood memories! I had so many ideas on how to use this set and for today's card, I decided to make a Pac Man-inspired encouragement card.
"You've Got This" Pac Man card by Handmade by Yuki | "Old School" by The Alley Way Stamps TAWS
I colored the stamped images with Copic Markers and popped them onto my focal panel with foam tape. I stamped the little circles in Simon Says Stamp "Slate" dye ink and white heat embossed the sentiment onto pattern paper from the Avery Elle "The Neutral Collection" 6x6 paper pack. I inlaid die cut all of the background layers. So although the card appears to have dimension, it's actually rather flat and mail-friendly.

This card was super easy and fun to make. I absolutely love the nostalgic feel and it's also gender neutral! I hope you were inspired by today's post and be sure to swing by the TAWS blog for more inspiration. Thanks for stopping by! ♥

If you haven't heard, TAWS is having a 30% off sale until July 11th!

Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #22 - "Happy Birthday To You"

Hi crafty friends! Today is the beginning of a new Inky Paws Challenge over on the Newton's Nook Designs blog. This month's challenge is "birthday theme," how fun is that?! Everyone can always use some extra birthday cards, so I'm super excited to see what every one creates for this challenge!
"Happy Birthday to You" by Handmade by Yuki | "Wild About Zoo" by Newton's Nook Designs
For my card, I used the "Wild About Zoo" set to create a super fun birthday party scene. I used the birthday hats from the new "In Slow Motion" set as well. I colored all of the fun zoo animals and birthday hats with Copic Markers and fussy-cut them out leaving a white border. I die cut a white background panel using a stitched rectangle die and hand drew the polka dot background with Copic Markers using the My Favorite Things "Jumbo Polka Dot" stencil as a guide. I die cut a strip of pattern paper from the Lawn Fawn "Let's Polka" 6x6 paper pack using a stitched border die from Pretty Pink Posh. I used the "Happy Birthday Border" die from Lawn Fawn for the sentiment.

I had so much fun creating this card and absolutely love how it turned out. These little critters always make me smile :). I hope you were inspired by my card and I cannot wait to see what you create! Don't forget to visit the Newton's Nook Designs blog for more inspiration! ♥
