Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge #16 - Sketch and Clean & Simple

Taylored Expressions
Happy New Years Eve! I hope everyone has fun plans tonight and I wish everyone a wonderful New Year! Today is the very last Share Joy Challenge of the year. For this challenge, I decided to go the clean and simple route to make a sweet encouragement card featuring Sunny Days.

I stamped the happy sun with SSS Sunshine dye ink and cut the sun with the coordinating die. I die cut two clouds from white metallic cardstock. I adhered the cloud in the background using a glue dot to give it subtle dimension, and then I popped up the sun and second cloud with foam tape. I matted the focal panel onto a piece of matching pattern paper.

This was such a quick and fun card to make it's perfect for this time of year, particularly in Seattle. I hope you were inspired by today's card and be sure to swing by the Share Joy Challenge Blog to see more amazing inspiration. Thanks again for stopping by and have a wonderful day! ♥

I also wanted to quickly mentioned I am super excited to announce I'll be a February Guest Designer for the Stamping Smiles Designs Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge. This fun new challenge was started by my dear friend, Ka, and you'll definitely want to check out her new challenge blog and play along :)!

Honey Bee Stamps - Happy Mail

Hi crafty friends! I know it's been a little quiet around here lately. I've been enjoying the extra time off this holiday season snowboarding at our local ski resort during the day and crafting on future DT projects in the evenings :). I also forgot to mention last week was my final DT post for The Alley Way Stamps. As you may already know, Alison recently made the difficult decision of closing down TAWS. While I'm sad to see the shop close, I am so thankful for the great opportunity and wish Alison and the entire DT the best of luck in their future endeavors!

Now onto today's post... I am so excited to be sharing a card I made using "Special Delivery" from Honey Bee Stamps. This company is relatively new to me and so far I am absolutely loving their cute designs. Happy Mail by Handmade by Yuki | Special Delivery by Honey Bee Stamps
For today's card, I decided to make a general "happy mail" card featuring that adorable little snail. I paper-pieced his shell, the mailbox and envelope using pattern papers. I colored the snail's body, the small envelope and mail post with Copic Markers. I then fussy-cut the images, leaving a white border. I created my scene using a grassy border die and a puffy cloud border die. I mounted my focal panel onto a white strip of cardstock and die cut the left-hand side using a scalloped border die. To finish the card, I added some matching Orangesicle Trendy Twine.

I just love how sweet and happy this card turned out. This set is not only perfect for making cards, but also for decorating envelopes as well! I also want to announce that I am giving away an extra set of "Special Delivery" on my Instragram account (@handmadebyyuki). So be sure to stop by my IG for a chance to win this cute set!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day! ♥

Merry Christmas!

Hi crafty friends! I just wanted to quickly swing by to wish you a merry Christmas!

Today I'm sharing some sweet treat boxes I made for my coworkers using the Holiday Pals from Pretty Pink Posh and the Milk Carton die from Lawn Fawn.

I kept the design rather simple since I ended up making six of these. I stamped the "sending holiday cheer" sentiment from the Winter Friends set onto a stitched label die to create a tag for the carton. I punched two holes at the top of the carton and tied the tag to the carton using some twine. As a finishing touch, I covered the trees and Santa hats with Clear Wink of Stella glitter. I then filled the cartons with chocolates and closed the bottoms with washi tape to make it easy to open.

I took these to work on Tuesday and I'm so happy my coworkers loved them! Thank you again for stopping by and have a merry Christmas! :)
