Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge #20 - Sketch + Clean & Simple

Taylored Expressions
Hi there! It's Thursday, which means it's time for a new Share Joy Challenge! For this week's challenge, I used the Simply Stamped - Roses to make a clean and simple birthday card inspired by the challenge sketch.

I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to perfectly align and stamp all of the layers. I stamped the roses in SSS Cotton Candy, Hot Lips and Schoolhouse Red dye inks.  I then stamped the leaves in SSS Beanstalk Green and Olive Green. I then die cut the stamped images using the coordinating dies. I stamped the sentiment directly onto a white panel and then for some added interest, added a strip of gold glitter cardstock and a strip of black and white pattern paper. To finish the card, I added some Clear Droplets from Pretty Pink Posh and added a layer of glitter to the roses with my Wink of Stella Clear glitter brush pen.

I hope you were inspired by today's card and be sure to swing by the Share Joy Challenge Blog to see more amazing inspiration. Thanks again for stopping by and have a wonderful day! ♥

Neat & Tangled Challenge #64 - Hello

Hi crafty friends! One of my crafty goals this year is to put some time aside to just craft for fun and give some of my unused and older sets some love. Over the weekend I had some free time and finally got around to inking up the super cute Meowwwww set designed by the very sweet and talented May Park and made a card for the latest Little Tangles Challenge.

I started off by coloring the kitty, ball of yarn and speech bubble with Copic Markers and then fussy-cut them out, leaving a white border. I created my own stamped background by stamping both the solid and outline images of the paw print in SSS Sea Glass and Audrey Blue ink. I then die cut the background using a stitched square die. I white heat embossed the sentiment onto black cardstock and die cut that using a small stitched rectangle die. For the main background, I used Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade distress inks to create an ombre background. I then stamped the MFT Polka Dot Background stamp over the distressed background in white pigment ink. To finish the card, I added a few sequins and gold mini star confetti from Pretty Pink Posh.

I had so much fun making this card and hope you were inspired too! Be sure to check out the Little Tangles Challenge blog to play along, I believe you have one more day to enter! Thanks again for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Lawnscaping Challenge #122 - Watercoloring

Hi crafty friends! Today I'm playing along with the latest Lawnscaping Challenge - Watercoloring and the SSS Wednesday Challenge - Create with Critters challenges.

I used the My Lucky Charm set to create a fun card for one of my coworkers who's moving out of state. Although he'll still be working for the company, I wanted to wish him good luck on the move.

I colored the Lucky Cat with Copic Markers and cut him out using the coordinating die. For the background, I created my own paper pattern by stamping the horseshoe and clovers. I watercolored the entire background pattern with my Zig Clean Real Brush pens. To mute the background behind the kitty, I die cut a circle from vellum. I matted the background onto a piece of kraft cardstock and used pattern pattern paper from the Let's Polka In the Dark paper pack.

I had so much fun making this card and I hope my coworker likes it too! Thanks again for stopping by and be sure to swing by the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog and Lawnscaping Challenge blog to play along!
