Pretty Pink Posh March Release Blog Hop

Hi there! Today the Pretty Pink Posh team is showcasing the new PPP March release with a blog hop! You should have arrived here from Danielle's blog and if not, you'll want to start from the start at the PPP blog.

During the last release, PPP released a limited-release stamp set, Birdie Notes, featuring an adorable little chick. Well great news, this mini-set is now available for purchase and there's a full-size set too!

For my first card, I'm showcasing the new Birdie Friends set and Scallop Circle dies. If you follow my blog or Instagram account, you probably know I recently moved from LA to Seattle last year. Although it's been an amazing move, I do miss my friends back home. So I decided to make a sweet friendship card. I used the trio of chicks in the background to make them appear further away. I dressed up the larger chick by giving her a bow I cut using a bow die from PPP. To finish the card, I added a few of the new Easter Mix sequins to the card.

For my second card, I combined the Rainy Days and Holiday Pals stamp sets to create a sweet encouragement card. I framed the scene using one of the new Scallop Oval dies.  I ink blended the background using Iced Spruce, Faded Jeans and Peacock Feathers distress inks. I die cut the clouds from vellum using the cloud dies from the Rainy Days coordinating die set. The sun die is from the Spring Showers set and I colored it using Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed distress inks. I white heat embossed the sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock I die cut using a stitched banner die. To give the cardbase some added interest, I used a dotted lattice embossing folder. And to finish the card, I added 4mm and 6mm Sea Breeze sequins.

I am just loving the new release! I love how PPP products are so versatile and work so well with such a variety of different cards and other products. I hope you were inspired and thanks again for stopping by! Your next stop on the blog hop is the incredibly talented, Joy Taylor!
